Dora Jung was born in Helsinki, Finland, in 1906. She graduated from the Helsinki School of Arts and Crafts in 1932.
In the same year she opened her own workshop and in 1951 she was awarded a Grand Prix at the Milan Textile Triennal Exposition. She was known for her expertise in designing woven damask fabrics with abstract motifs. She designed a new table-cloth collection for Tampella.
Dora Jung’s work includes important public projects, such as the curtains of the Finnish National Theatre and Finlandia Hall in Helsinki.
