A late 18th century motif sampler, worked Janet Aitchson With a lower band of text listing the family names: Thomas Aitchson, Janet Rowghead(?) in the first line, Isbal Hrowat(?), James Aitchson, in the second line, Janet Aitchson age 11 1794 in the forth line; with brightly coloured and finely worked floral spot motifs and figures within a strawberry border; reputably Scottish, some small holes, unframed. 35 x 30cm.
