Sonya Winner is an English graphic designer who isn't afraid of color and who in fact became a rug designer by accident. That said, it's no surprise that her creations have enjoyed a warm welcome, especially by the current generation who are steeped in the ad world's images and graphic shapes. And as beige has become the color of defaut in home decor, her rugs offer a refreshingly gay and contemporary contrast. All of Sonya Winner's rugs are hand made and therefore unique, and she also produces special and limited edition models such as those pictured below.
